Dark Demon Canyon

great new First Descent canyon, but a long day-hike with 19 miles and a big vertical ascent. And didn't have enough time to do it in daylight with the the short daylight hours this time of year - did the big 200' rappel in the dark, and not knowing if the rope was on the ground - only had 200' ropes. I had done the next canyon over and Rick had looked at this one as well. So we teamed up for the exploration

TOTAL ROUND TRIP FOR THE DAY WAS 19 MILES, GOING ACROSS THE VALLEY FLOOR, AND THEN HAVING A 4200' VERTICAL ASCENT TO GET TO THE TOP OF THE CANYON
