Información

This trip was combined with a ski mission on the west side of Telescope Peak (11,043′), aiming to complete what appears to be the first known ski descent on that side of the mountain. When the skiable terrain ended and the first dryfall appeared, the objective shifted into first‑descent canyoneering mode, continuing down an unexplored technical canyon. The full outing covered roughly 10,000 feet of vertical descent, ending on the Panamint Valley floor at about 1,000 feet of elevation. In addition to that descent, we also completed the upper fork of Hall Canyon before traversing across several ridges to drop into a second previously unvisited canyon. That second canyon has since been named GOLLUM CANYON and documented independently under that name.
