Información
Porcupine Falls (120') was considered as a possible descent, but the combination of water flow and canyon geometry made it unsafe. Installing bolts to create a safe rappel line beside the waterfall would essentially turn it into a stunt rappel rather than a practical route. Instead, this location is better treated as a Point of Interest hike, useful for satisfying curiosity about what lies upstream rather than for canyon descent. Porcupine Falls also features the unusual presence of an old mine tunnel that diverts part of the water during spring runoff. This diversion typically flows in June but is usually dry by July.
