Little Al Capone

Fun little drainage on the southern facing slope of the Lions Head. One will find this a nice place to cool off and play on some interesting terrain.

Walk up the logging road from your car until you reach the switch back near the top of the creek. Then drop down the ridge from the corner of the switch back until the canyon "narrows" (Falls into a crack)

The upper section has a couple of rappels in a tight crack. High flow is not advised. Multiple strainers exist as of 2024. Although all rappels can be walked around with some effort. The lower section has 1 - 3 good rappels as the canyon fans open. Then there is a lot of slabby rappelling or bi-passing to the road.

Leave the same way you came up
