Aardvark Canyon (South Fork)

Using a car shuttle for this route will save 1.7 miles of hiking. High-clearance 4X4 is recommended for both vehicles. The crypto on top of the mesa is pristine, please do your best to avoid walking across it.

This canyon requires 2-6 rappels depending on the conditions and your group's skill set. A Sandtrap and natural anchor skills are required. This canyon offers many challenges suited for intermediate canyoneers or better. This canyon can hold a lot of water, so wetsuits are ALWAYS recommended, even in the hottest weather. The final rappel will take at least an hour to set up and complete. Please stand back from the drop when pulling your ropes so that grooves are not left. Many people have completed this route without bolts. Please play fair and leave your bolt kit at home.
