Cove Canyon (Marble Canyon)

There is now a gate just north of the ranger station that is locked at sundown and not reopened until dawn - no entry is allowed while the gate is closed - even if you have a camping permit for the Toroweap Campground. The park has good reasons for maintaining this gate for this area, please plan your hiking itinerary accordingly and respect this very minor inconvenience. Camping is also not allowed at any of the trailheads. Camping options are fairly minimal in the area outside the park, we found a decent site here: 36.396439, -113.061499 - that looked about as close as you could get to the trail heads to camp legally outside the park.
