Eightmile Creek

Not a major objective, but a very short and sweet little canyon close to Horsethief Butte. Creek can pack a punch during the spring run-off, but flow diminishes substantially heading into summer and should be safe for beginner practice. This area is frequently visited by tourists, so please do not leave anchors behind. It is easy to escape between the falls. Eightmile can be easily combined with Fivemile Creek just down the road. Nice spot for training beginners. Creek is located close to Horsethief Butte - popular area to train for rock climbing.

Park at the Crawford Oaks trailhead. Hike up the obvious trail at the west end of the parking area. Road switchbacks and heads up to the top of the falls.
