Ghost Rider Canyon

Great little canyon in the Virgin River Gorge area! Makes a nice day of Canyoneering in combination with Cherry Canyon.

Coming from Las Vegas: Take the I-15 North and exit "Cedar Pocket" (Virgin River Gorge Recreation Area, Exit 18). Make a left (north) and start driving up the dirt road. Low clearance vehicles can drive to the trailhead with mindful driving. After approximately 10-15min (~1.7 miles) there is a large signed parking area for ‘Cedar Pocket Wash Trailhead.’ The canyon drop in is ~300 yards/meters north of the large signed parking area on the right (east).

The canyon has two 10-15’ down climbs followed by 3 rappels. The second rappel is the tallest and most scenic. All 3 rappels are bolted with chains. Rap 1: 40' bolts canyon right. Rap 2: 80' bolts canyon right. Rap 3: 30' bolt(s) canyon right.
