Watkins Glen State Park provides an amazing stone path hike in a spectacular gorge, which is extremely picturesque and features 19 waterfalls in the span of a mile and a half. It was protected as a State Park in 1906. Canyoning is not allowed This would be a great canyon if canyoning was allowed. At Watkins Glen, this area is additionally posted as a No Swimming area throughout the gorge. Trip reports have alluded to this place as Rivendell from Lord of the Rings. Beta statistics are based on starting at the Upper Parking, hiking the gorge trail downstream and the Indian trail back to the Upper Parking.
