Historic Trail Canyon

Historic Trail Canyon is a short adventure at the front of the Monument with a car shuttle. Better for practice than as a destination.

Set a shuttle on Monument Rd before the National Monument toll booth. Park at the Historic Trail roadside parking. Walk next to the road to the trees just before the tunnel.

R1: 130' from a sturdy tree near the road tunnel. Rappel toward Rappeller's Right to use a small pine as a directional and perhaps peer into part the drainage tunnel.
