Información

The reef in the Northern Swell forms short, east-facing, wide canyons with potholes. Individually these canyons aren't headliners, but together they can make a fun practice destination and several can be descended in a day. Hopscotch is named for the giant H formed by fault lines in the satellite view and it's downclimbing, non-technical nature.

Cómo llegar

On Foot: Walk the short downhill to the drainage and proceed upstream on a trail on the right of the trees in the drainage next to some rocky overhangs (Right Up Canyon). Gain a dirt ridge at the confluence. Hopscotch is the canyon on the right. Looking Left Up Canyon, note a large pour off that might make for a singular rappel of 100' or more. Upclimb in a drainage on the right of the pour off. Trend right (North) when possible toward the end of the drainage and walk around domes to the Northeast and downhill again.

Descenso

Hike/Scramble down the drainage. Bypass two potholes on Canyon Right.
