Hunter Canyon (East Fork)

A short slot in the Bookcliffs, are you kidding me?

Park as far up 21 Road as possible, and I prefer to bike most of the way to 39.31593, -108.56713. The hike up the wash encounters two alcove problems. The first can be scrambled up to the left, and the second requires a hand line slung over a log ~15'. Once you reach the slot, exit the canyon to the right and scramble around to the upper entrance of the canyon.

Downclimb #1 Enter canyon Rappel Main rappel off of chockstone (webbing left 1/13/24) Second Tier Probably downclimable? But the rope is already set up, so continue the short rap. Third Tier Downclimable & climable. Consider pulling the rope before the last tier to prevent damage. Walk through the slot!
