Kanarra Creek

Because the upper technical section is not accessible, this page is now providing information for the lower day hike only. The permitted day-hike section is on BLM land, but the upper part of the canyon--the technical descent--is on private land in is not accessible. The upper technical section was bolted but access to it is not legal legal in any manner. The entire approach has been fenced, gated and signed 'No Trespassing'; it is private land. The last party through got lost and needed rescue from Iron County SAR. The landowner has promised to prosecute any further groups. Please do not break the law by descending this canyon; it complicates relations and angers private landowners.
