Información

A scenic adventure in Boynton Canyon nestled between Slingshot and Chopper Drop. This route begins in an alcove system dense with manzanita and opens up to some beautiful free hanging rappels. During runoff / winter conditions, Slingshot and Chopper Drop are safer options close by due to Manzanita’s steep entry downclimb.

Cómo llegar

Recommend downloading the KML file. Hike the main trail to the turnoff for The Subway. At the base of the subway, walk north along a shelf (staying above the wash) then turn west and head up the approach gully staying LUC along an improving trail. This is the same approach for Slingshot and Chopper Drop. The Manzanita drainage is located between these two routes. Continue past Slingshot, scrambling a short ways up the sandstone ramp to a notch thick with manzanita LDC of the main drainage. This entrance bypasses the manzanita jungle in the upper section. Scramble up out of the notch and locate the access chimney.
