Información
Maxwell Canyon is a short yet engaging mini-canyon in the West Clear Creek Wilderness. This rarely visited route offers up a short approach and exit, several downclimbs, and at least 2 rappels up to 100'. A high clearance vehicle is recommended to make it to parking location at the Maxwell Trailhead. A Subaru or all-wheel drive vehicle could suffice, depending on conditions. Several campsites and a pristine swimming hole await at the bottom of the canyon.
Cómo llegar
From the parking location, hike a short distance to main drainage. Quite possibly the quickest and easiest approach in the West Cear Creek region.
Descenso
R1- 100' from a tree located RDC. Rappel RDC to avoid hanging potholes. R2- 90' from a large, downed tree at the head of the watercourse.
