Información

May Canyon is one of the few canyons in the area. While it is not particularly special, it does have a large drop reminiscent of a dry Josephine Creek. Locals have made social trails to the bottom of this drop however and there is some graffiti.

Cómo llegar

Before parking for the canyon, drive to the exit and visually verify where you will be exiting. Then, drive east and park on the street in the residential area. Follow May Canyon Truck Trail to the drop in point.

Descenso

The drop in avoids the upper part of the canyon which is choked by thorns and poison oak. Once you reach the canyon bottom, descend the various drops mostly grouped into a small area. R1: 30' - boulder R2: 80' - bush DCR; three step R3: 20' - tree DCL; possible to downclimb R4: 160' - tree DCR R5: 40' - bush R6: 20' - tree R7: too overgrown to descend as of May 2021; bypassed DCR R8: 50' - tree
