Información

Minute Creek is a 2025 addition in the Juan de Fuca area. This canyon follows the next major drainage over from Sombrio River. This is a great beginner canyon with low flow in the summer to provide a great experience folks new to canyoning. This Canyon can be run in early spring for a more exciting descent. There are potential exit points along the canyon, but it would require lots of effort.

Cómo llegar

Follow along Hwy 14 from Victoria towards Port Renfrew after passing the Sombrio Beach turn off continue for 3.5km until you pass the Minute creek bridge. Parking is on the left-hand side when travelling towards Port Renfew. For shuttling meet up in the Sombrio Beach parking lot and travel together from there to the parking area near the Minute Creek Bridge. After parking head towards the bridge and scramble down to the creek below. Teams have rappelled off the railing under the bridge to make the scramble easier as it is quite loose.

Descenso

After entering Minute a short creek walk will lead to the first Rappel. Continue creek walking to the next feature. After a small series of downclimbs you'll reach: Afterwards a moderate creek walk (500m) will lead you to the last pitch near the Ocean. This will lead you to the Ocean.
