Pine Creek Narrows

A short route through the narrows section of pine creek. This option starts at a small tributary that feeds into pine creek near the narrows section. Depending on conditions and skill this route can be done with 0 to 5 rappels. Reccomended in flow for best value.

Walk a short distance to the side tributary and the first slotty section. This section is interesting but can be bypassed on the right side if you desire.

If you do the first slot section: R1 less than 60' from a single bolt LDC. R2 less than 60' from a dead tree wedged in a crack. Bypass a swimmer just before the creek by going up a gully on the right side. Once at the creek hike down-stream about 15 minutes to the narrows section. R3 20' off a tree RDC during flow. Can be downclimbed LDC during dry conditions. R4 15' off a boulder in the watercourse LDC into narrows section. Downclimb next drop on either side. R5 less than 60' off single bolt LDC.
