Pipe Spring Canyon

A deep, intricately sculpted slot canyon, nestled in a high mountain forest. This canyon features smooth wavy walls, tight narrows sections, and quite a few large, clean rappels.

Park at Lava Point, scoot around the gate, and hike 2 miles down a dirt road, following KML map. After downclimbing into the drainage and pushing through the initial vegetation, you are greeted with a sheer drop off into the slot.

R1: 70' pine LDC R2: 90' bolts LDC R3: 50' bolt/piton RDC R4: 35' tree LDC 20' downclimb to anchor for big rappel sequence: R5: 180' bolt/piton LDC (R5 Drops directly to R6. staying far LDC you will find a bolt station, far RDC on ledge is a tree slung with webbing, neither spot has room for more than 2 people) R6: 110' tree RDC or 70' bolts LDC R7: 10' bolt LDC R8: 15' bolt LDC
