Amazing to see crystal clear snowmelt creek flowing through the bight red Cutler Sandstone in the middle of the hot, dry desert. On our descent there was one pool deep enough to slide into and one small small rappel in addition to the highlight of the trip, the mandatory waterfall rappel where you will get drenched. Great views of Castleton Tower and Priest and Nuns rock formations.

On the waterfall rappel send everyone down canyon right to get the most enjoyment of the falls, being careful of hand entrapment and of getting one's descending device stuck. Either side of this chockstone on canyon right will be cause for a stuck rope. LAMAR should rappel down canyon left, unfortunately missing the main falls. You have been warned. It's a long hike around to get your stuck rope and very difficult to ascend the rope.
