Información
The reef in the Northern Swell forms short, east-facing, wide canyons with potholes. Individually these canyons aren't headliners, but together they can make a fun desination and several can be descended in a day. Saunter is a nice hike with interesting downclimbs and hike-arounds in a non-technical canyon environment. A longer day could be made of this and more technical canyon skills practice could be had.
0Cómo llegar
On Foot: Walk through the old structures and walk upstream in the drainage. Take the fork that is Left Up Canyon and climb the sandstone domes north of the southern drainage on the north side. Either hike to the top of Thimble Canyon and turn to the north to get to the top of Saunter Canyon or attempt an alternate approach that appears to be a shortcut (see kml map).
Descenso
Hike downstream bypassing at least five potential obstacles.
