Información
Alden Anderson & I had been looking at exploring some canyons in this area. And we joined up to explore some new ones with our team. The team for this canyon was: Alden Anderson, Aysel Gezik, Mika Enriquez & Norma Ryan & Scott Swaney. Alden named this canyon. A fun short easy canyon, that we completed after bailing on another nearby route. Unexpected find for us.
Cómo llegar
Take artists' pallet rd (one way, counter-clockwise) about half-way around to the point on the map. There's a pull-out just before the road turns right and the exit of Apollo, with a couple sign posts. Hike up the side of the wash left of Tleilax canyon, generally staying to the right of the ridgeline (left of it turns into the sheer wall of Apollo). Typical of canyons on this range, its steep and very loose, especially at the start. At ~1440' cut right just above a large prominent rock/rise and walk down the wash to the 1st drop. Continue to climb along the GPS track. At 1600' the rock changes and gets a bit steeper. We did not go past this point, opting to traverse to the 1440' start. Unsure if any raps or actual canyon is above (appeared more like wide wash looking up from the 1440' vantage point).
Descenso
Most of the drops can be bypassed if not just downclimbed
