Voodoo Canyon

A long trek out to a remote part of the Secret Mountain Wilderness. Multiple slots spaced between lush, old world forest with an Aztec jungle feel!

Follow the map down and up hills, through the woods, over and along various drainages. Just when you think you may never arrive, suddenly you have!

R1: 40' Rock Pinch. 2 stage, pools R2: 70' Log pile. 2 stage R3: 50' Rock pinch RDC Downclimb log R4: 70' Tree LDC into seasonal pool Downclimb chute slide R5: 20’ knot chock, rappel DCL into pool R6: 20' Rock pinch LDC R7: 60' Rock pinch set 15' back R8: 30' Rock pinch LDC. Stop at first stage, pull rope, then downclimb slide

Travel the sculpted water way. Keep an eye out for a few turns on the map, mostly direct and obvious. Fairly even grade with a few short obstacle climbs. Eventually becomes bushy and thorny for a short section as you gain the first saddle. Near the end becomes steep but footing is decent as you climb to rejoin the approach trail.
