Workman Creek Falls

Rappel down the falls from the Workman Creek overlook on the road to the top of Aztec Peak in the Sierra Anchas.

Drive to the overlook. Scramble down a small bank and build an anchor on the trees there, or some rappel from their vehicle.

Expect to get wet for part of the rappel. Free hanging for the second half of it. Be careful not to disturb the moss on this popular overlook and be mindful of rope placement to avoid sharp rocks. The rappel is 192 feet from the aspen trees, or extend to the edge using 26 feet of webbing to create a rebelay.
